Let’s get ready for our first meets of the season! If you have not been to a summer swim meet, get ready for an amazing adventure.

June 1 - StH at Dalton, 904 Civic Drive, Dalton, GA 30721

WarmUps start at 5:30
Plenty of space but bring your own shade
Wear your team suit.
New caps have yet to arrive. Please wear any Sharks cap, a team neutral cap, or just swim without.
Hydrate early and plan more snacks than you think you need.
Allow for extra drive time for the trip to Dalton due to road construction.
Wear as much red as possible with all of your Shark swag. Most importantly, swim fast & HAVE FUN!

June 4 - Signal @ StH with Power Up Pizza & Wally's Fro-Yo

Swim Meet Prep:

Team suit, team cap and goggles, towel, dry clothes, sharpie marker, Cards, games, etc. to pass the time *Swimmers may not wear any gear which designates a team other than StH Sharks.
Comfort items: shade (umbrella, shade tent), sunblock, ear drops, bug spray, chairs, floor blanket, fans, etc
Healthy snacks and plenty of drinks - food truck and concessions available at home meets

Sportsmanship & Meet Readiness:

Find the heat sheet posted at the meet but also via the SwimTopia app. It is free to download but you do get more of the details with the paid subscription. * The heat sheet is not posted until early afternoon the day of the meet. We try to share via Remind, but having the SwimTopia app will put the information directly in your hands.
Be a humble winner and a gracious loser. Shake hands, fist bump, etc to the swimmers in the lanes next to you and remain in the water until all swimmers in the heat are finished with the race.
Swimmers should check in with coaches at the end of each race. Parents give positive support and let the coaches coach.
The team with the most points at the end of the meet wins the meet. If something happens and a swimmer misses an event, go directly to the head official (wearing white, usually with a whistle/microphone). If you are lucky, you may be able to get into another heat. This is not always possible so it is very important for swimmers (and their parents) to pay attention and be ready to swim.
