With summer just around the corner, it's time to get ready for our favorite summer pastime, SWIM TEAM!  Building on our success and fun times from last season, we expect this season to be even better!  We have the very best coaching staff in the Chattanooga Area.  Our returning Head Coach, Katie Sallee, returning assistant coach, Jess Klotz, new assistant coach, Keith Chapin, returning assistant coach, Jon Pat Ransom and new jr. coach, Max Ransom are ready to lead our Sharks to a fun and exciting summer swim season!  Our swim team board has been working hard during the off season to be sure that we are all ready for "game day".  It really is going to be a great year that you do not want to miss!  So...

Stuart Heights Swim Team Online Registration is OPEN!  As you register, you will see that the site does require you to volunteer for 2 meets, if everyone volunteers, it makes the season more fun for everyone.  However, you can opt out of volunteering by paying a $75.00 fee.  Swim team fees are all-inclusive!  That means you only have to give us money ONE TIME!  Isn't that great?!?!  Your one time fee will include:  CASL Fee, Silicone Swim Cap, 2 t-shirts, City Meet Fees, Banquet and Award fees and all of the administrative costs to run this awesome team!  You can pay this fee online via paypal and we encourage you to do this, it makes it easier on all of us.  We encourage you to visit our website for a complete list of 2017 board members and the swim team budget.

We will have an onsite registration day on Monday, May 22 from 6:00-8:30pm.  Feel free to come by on this day and get registered, but if you choose to pay at the pool, there will be a $5 walk up fee.

This year, we will also be starting practice on Monday, May 22.  We will only practice in the evening for the first week and morning practice will begin on Tuesday, May 30.  Practice schedule will be the same as last summer:  Monday - Friday mornings: ages 8 & under 8:30-9:30 a.m. ages 9 & up 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.  Monday-Thursday evenings: 8 & under: 6:00 - 7:00p.m. 9 & up: 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. All swimmers will be registered for the City Swim Meet Championship which is July 14 and 15 at Fort Oglethorpe’s Pool.  

Red and Black Meet

Our First Meet will be an intersquad "Red and Black" meet on Wednesday, May 24 at STH.  This will be a great meet for all of our parents to come and learn about and how to do the different volunteer positions at each meet.  This is also a great time for our coaches to see how much everyone has improved this year.  Front Runner will be onsite with swimsuits and gear for sale.

Pink Meet

Our Pink Meet Invitational was so successful last year, we decided to do it again.  It will be held on Saturday, June 10 at STH.   We will be inviting all CASL swim teams to participate in this meet and we look forward to STH hosting an invitational type meet.  We will be looking for volunteers for this meet as well. All swimmers will be timed for freestyle, back, breast (7 and up only), and butterfly (7 and up only).

 

Shark Cafe

Shark Cafe dates are already set!  We’re excite to have Marcy Kelch and Susan Lydon helping out this year.  Please be sure to volunteer for your date and everyone be at every Shark Cafe - it’s a great time for team bonding and it’s our team’s largest fundraiser!
