    City Meet!!

Great meet last night!!!  I honestly cannot remember the last time we beat Dalton at their own pool!  Way to go, Sharks!  Each and every swimmer and race counted at the meet last night.  We only won by 2 points, so every swim mattered!  We had 18 swimmers who scored 10 or more points in the meet last night!  Coaches did an excellent job and the spirit of our team was unstoppable.  We never once stopped believing!  Great job!

City Meet is quickly approaching!  The meet will be held on July 8 and 9 at The Baylor School.  Our 10 and unders will swim in the morning with warm ups at about 7:00am and our 11 and up will swim in the afternoon with warm ups at about 11:30 on both Friday and Saturday.  The swimmers with the fastest 16 times from prelims will come back that evening to swim in finals with warm ups at 5:00pm both nights.  This is a really fun meet for all to participate in.  Everyone gets to swim 5 events for points.  There is no exhibition.  Every swim counts.  The coaches will let you choose your favorite 3 events to swim and they will choose the other 2.  To choose your favorite 3 events, please respond to this email with your name, age and event choices by tomorrow 6/22.  If you haven't responded by tomorrow evening, the coaches will be happy to choose for you.  If you already know that you will not be at the meet, please let us know by responding to this email as well.  If you are a new swim family, and you have questions, please respond to this email or see one of our coaches or board members at the pool.  We know this is a lot of info to comprehend and we are happy to help in any way we can.  City Meet really is a lot of fun for everyone!

Remember that we are going to the movies on Thursday at 12:30 to see Finding Dory.  Please meet at the Northgate cinema at 12:15 and please wear your Sharks 4 life t-shirt!  And then get ready to take on a tough opponent at Signal Mountain that night.
